What is DVC

Once referred to as “Disney’s Best Kept Secret”, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is a method of purchasing a real estate interest directly from Disney, offering a flexible timeshare that is represented by Vacation Points. You can chose how much you invest into DVC and once you buy your initial contract you become a DVC member. Your membership is represented by a number of Vacation Points issued from a ‘Home’ resort. Every year, you can use this yearly allotment of Vacation Points to book vacation accommodations at that Resort, at other Disney Vacation Club Resorts or in thousands of other destinations around the world.

Join Us

This page will give you the basics of DVC. There are links contained below which will require you to be a member of our facebook group and website. Remember that there is no charge for either. We are not a broker. We are not a commercial enterprise. So take advantage and unlock everything we have on this site and join our Facebook Group first and then sign up here.

Resorts

There are currently 16 total DVC Resort Properties, 12 of which are located in Walt Disney World in Florida, 1 in Disneyland California, 1 in Vero Beach Florida, 1 in Hilton Head South Carolina as well as 1 on the beautiful island of Oahu in Hawai’i . A full list of resorts is available here (you’ll need to be a member of our facebook group and this website to be able to view these.)

Your Home Resort

One of these will be your ‘Home’ resort. If you buy your DVC membership directly from Disney, they usually offer 1 or 2 resorts on general sale, but if you speak to your DVC Agent, they occasionally will have membership available at some or all of the other resorts. Your ‘Home’ resort gives you priority access to bookings at that resort. You can find full details of the Home Resort Advantage here.

Booking Windows

You can make a booking at your Home Resort using your Vacation Points 11 months ahead of your arrival date. You will be able to book 7 months ahead of arrival for all other resorts.

Vacation Point Charts

Each night stay at a DVC Resort has a point value and each of these values is stored on annually updated Vacation Point Charts, which can be found on this site. These detail exactly how many points are needed for your stay by Resort, Room Type, View and Season. All resort bookings are made subject to availability and rooms can and do book up quickly. It is always advisable to book your stay earlier, especially as DVC bookings are flexible and can be cancelled without any form of restriction or penalty up to 31 days before your stay.

Member Benefits

DVC Members are offered a range of additional benefits (or Perks), which include discounts for things such as Disney Shopping as well as offers for Park Tickets. Eligible Members receive exclusive invitations to special events like holiday celebrations and culinary experiences. Plus, Members can attend exciting Moonlight Magic events—complimentary after-hours celebrations at select Disney parks, with shorter-than-usual lines for popular attractions!
